Introduction


The Association for Islamic Studies in Japan [AISJ] is a scientific and educational society founded in 1963, with the aim to promote the research of Islamic Studies and to have academic contacts with institutions in Islamic world. Later, AISJ was permitted as a corporation aggregate in 1967. Its members share interests in various fields of Islamic Studies, which they cultivate through the AISJ's scholarly journal [The World of Islam: biannual publication in Japanese] and biannual symposium.




Association's Publications

The World of Islam is published for the members by the Association biannually. Each article is in Japanese with a summary in a European language.
