Contributed papers for the poster and oral presentation sessions are welcomed for any subject of crustacean biology including systematics, taxonomy, evolution, phylogeny, ecology, behavior, sociobiology, development and larval biology, physiology, symbiosis, parasitology, genetics, molecular biology, biogeography, fossils and ichnology, taphonomy, palaeobiology, conservation, introduced species, fisheries and culture; and any taxa of crustaceans including BRANCHIOPODA (Phyllopoda, Sarsostraca), REMIPEDIA (Enantiopoda, Nectiopoda), CEPHALOCARIDA, MAXILLOPODA [Thecostraca (Facetotecta, Ascothoracida, Cirripedia), Tantulocarida, Branchiura, Pentastomida (Cephalobaenida, Porocephalida), Mystacocarida, Copepoda (Calanoida, Cyclopoida, Gelyelloida, Harpacticoida, Misophrioida, Monstrilloida, Mormonilloida, Platycopioida, Poecilostomatoida, Siphonostomatoida), OSTRACODA (Myodocopa, Podocopa), and MALACOSTRACA [Phyllocarida (Leptostraca), Hoplocarida (Stomatopoda), Eumalacostraca (Syncarida, Peracarida including Spelaeogriphacea, Thermosbaenacea, Lophogastrida, Mysida, Mictacea, Amphipoda, Isopoda, Tanaidacea & Cumacea, Eucarida including Euphausiacea, Amphionidacea & Decapoda)].

Oral presentations in the general sessions will be allocated 20 minutes. The 20 minute time slots is comprised 15 minutes for the speaker's presentation followed by 5 minutes for discussion.

 

¡TWO TYPES OF CONTRIBUTED PAPERS¡¡

1. General contributed papers: All subjects of crustacean biology for any taxonomic group.

2. Symposium-related contributed paper : If you have an interest in one of the symposia organized (see the Symposia Page), you can take part in it as "symposium-related contributed paper". Please ask the organizer of that sympoium first and obtain his approval to take part in the symposium. Contact E-mail address is in the bottom line on each symposium page.

¡¡¡Student Awards - The Crustacean Society

The Crustacean Society will bestow a series of awards for the best student oral and poster presentations. The exact number is yet to be decided. This is open to all student participants in the Tokyo Meeting. Students do not have to be members of The Crustacean Society. If you wish to compete for this award, and if you are the first author of the paper and you are a student or within 6 months after the graduation at the time of the registration, tick the appropriate box on the ABSTRACT SUBMISSION page. The awards will consist of one year free membership to The Crustacean Society or one year volume of Journal of Crustacean Biology if you are not the members of The Crustacean Scoeity, a cash award of US$100, a certificate of commendation from the Society, and notice of the award in the Journal of Crustacean Biology.
