Lung Cancer Automated Recognition Group

Automated extraction of lung cancers from 3-dimensional images of X-ray CT.

NIRS is developing 3-dimensional X-ray CT.

CT creates always several hundreds sliced images. According, these sliced images are too many for doctor to search cancer candidates.

Therefore, we are developing computer soft system that extracts automatically lung cancer candidates. The result is judged the truth or false by doctors. Now, the rate of automatic extraction is more than 90%.
