The assays were carried out in 50 mM sodium phosphate buffer, pH 7.6, in the presence of 5 mM a-ketoglutarate, 50 mM NH4Cl, 0.2 mM EDTA, and 0.1 mM NADH at 27°C. The enzyme concentration in the assay mixture was 0.36 nM.
