The Japanese Society of Systematic Zoology, founded in 1950, is an association of biologists who are interested in taxonomy, systematics, and biodiversity of animals, either extant or extinct. It publishes an international journal "Species Diversity" quarterly and a Japanese journal "Taxa" (only In Japanese) biannually and conducts annual meetings and symposia.
