On Publication of ICEC Newsletter
(Mainly extracted from the Newsletter No.1)
At the
session of Recommendation of the Zhaoqing Conference on physics education
of the third US/P.R.China/Japan, all participants of the conference decided
to set up the International Communication Exchange Center on Physics
Education in each member country, and the Board of Directors of Physics
Education Society of Japan decided to set up the ICEC (International
Communication Exchange Committee on Physics Education)-Japanese Branch. The
member's names of the committee at that time (March 10, 1994) were as
follows:
Chairperson: HIRATA Kunio
Members: GOTOH Masahiko, HIROI Tadashi, KITAMURA Toshiki, KOHN Kay, MANABE
Atsushi, MASUKO Hiroshi, RYU Tae, TAKIKAWA Yoji, TONOKI Hiroshi.
The
committee decided to publish two kinds of ICEC Newsletters, one is for
domestic use (in Japanese), and the other is for the one to foreign
countries (in English). Our committee also decided to pick up physics
education news in Japan to the latter one such as the contents of recent
Journal of the Physics Education Society of Japan, recent activities on
physics education of reseach circles distributed in whole countries of
Japan, real states of Japanese physics textbooks which are used in upper
secondary schools, the outline of reports of scientific research group of
Ministry of Education and so on. The member's names of the committee at
present are as follows:
