The 40th Textile Research Symposium
will be held on this coming August 25 (Thurs)
– 27(Sat), 2011 in the Fuji Institute
of Education and Training (Kyouiku Kenshusho) at the foot of Mt. Fuji. This annual symposium started in 1972 as a domestic
meeting for the purpose of promoting textile research and communication between
scientists and/or technologists. Today
it has become an international conference on textile research covering a wide
range of fields from fiber science to apparel engineering.
In
this special 40th symposium, the
following topics will be discussed in the single session.
1. Fiber Science and Engineering
2.
Yarns and Fabric Processing
3.
Nano Fibers and Smart Textiles
4.
Composite and Industrial Textiles
5.
Designs and Quality of Textiles
6.
Clothing Science and Technology
7.
Sustainability
8.
Fabric Hand and Material Perception
Activity of research groups in Textile
Machinery Society of Japan will be
presented during this symposium.
Participants
are distinguished textile researchers; usually between 60 and 100 people from all
over the world, and about 30 to 40 papers (oral and poster) are presented.
Discussions are usually very active throughout these presentations. These questions assist the audience in
understanding the papers more clearly. The
field of textile research is usually divided into several subsections such as
fiber science, clothing engineering, etc. These fields are closely related to each
other. One advantage of our single session
system enables you to assist in the joining of these divided fields.
